Are Fathers welcome on Ema?
Sorry, not at this time. Based on the demand from our moms, the sensitivity of the Ema community, the extensive focus groups and research data we have gathered and reviewed… we are limiting Ema to people who identify as women only.
How do I edit my profile?
There is a profile button on the top right corner of your home page. When you’re on your profile you can edit any of the fields you need.
What is a Learn Module?
A Learn Module is a resource gallery with bundled content that answers specific questions around specific life stages. Learn Modules topics cover physical and mental health of you and your child, relationship health, parenting tips, and fun quizzes and activities.
What is a Friendship Circle?
A friendship circle is a group of 8 women matched together to be there for each other to have fun, learn, grow, and make real connections and friendships. The best part about our friendship circles is that Ema is an active participant in each group chat. She will host games, icebreakers, activities, keep the conversation going, and share resources. This takes the pressure off any one person in the group to keep things moving. Ema’s always there to keep the magic going!
What does “medically-vetted” mean?
We take your health and the spread of misinformation seriously, so we only use the most reliable sources to get the information you need and deserve. We provide credible and medically reviewed content to get you the best and most up-to-date information. All content on the app is written or reviewed by a medical provider and backed by credible sources.
Who are experts?
Experts are vetted individuals that have subject matter expertise on topics that relate to the journey of femalehood.
What is a partner and how/why do you work with them?
Partners are vetted organizations that have science-backed products or resources that support your journey of femalehood. Our partners share resources to alleviate problems or enhance lives. We work with partners that organically add value to your experience via content and knowledge about their product or service.
Do you have sponsored content?
We are not an ad platform. We work with our partners and internal medical experts to prepare content that supports your journey of femalehood.

Ema personalizes friendship and medically vetted resources from fertility to menopause to create positive outcomes.
What can I expect from Ema?
She is in the "learn phase" of her ai journey, and will be taking time to get to know you and the community so she can gear up to deliver a personalized experience for everyone.
Is Ema a bot?
No. Ema is an ai companion - which means she learns about you and caters to you in a unique and personalized way. No two people on the app will have the same experience with ema because no two people have the same experience in life.
What can’t* Ema do?
She can't give personalized medical advice, or chat with you openly. She can connect you to friends and relevent resources.

Is it safe to meet other moms online or in person?
Well…this is a tough one. The internet is used by billions to meet new friends, make contacts, and to create new circles. We want you to use caution when meeting anyone new. Call 911 if you ever feel that you or someone with you is possibly in any danger.

How do I deactivate my account on Ema?
Simply go to Settings → Account Settings → Deactivate.
What do I do if someone violates the Terms & Conditions within the App?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Terms & Conditions outlines what is allowed and what is not If the policy is broken, we will handle it to the best of our ability. Please let us know if you have witnessed any suspicious activity (use the report button whenever possible within the App). Some examples of things that are against our policy: material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate; posting unauthorized advertisements; impersonating another person or represent yourself as affiliated with us, our staff or other industry professionals; and more.
